The Ringling Courtyard is large enough to accommodate the largest of wedding with space for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing in one dramatic location, making for easy transition throughout the wedding. Anna Pohl of Day Planners was hired as coordinator and her knowledge and expertise kept everything progressing smoothly right up to the very last dance. ringling-bride-with-bridal-bouquet iron-arch-with-blue-hydrangea Flowers by Fudgie serviced this wedding with a team of designers on site led by owner Becki Creighton. The ceremony was set on the top level with our iron arch covered with greenery, curly willow and over 40 stems of soft lavender blue hydrangea. A single rose tied with sheer ribbon decorated every other chair on the aisle. Lights were strung over the seating area and glass chandeliers sparkled as they hung from the trees. Lighting elements were handled by our friends at Affairs in the Air. The scene was set and awaited a beautiful bride and handsome groom. bridal-bouquet-of-porceilana-rose-hydrangea-freesia-and-lizanthus sparking-head-table-at-ringling-museum The bride was stunning in an ecru gown with a taupe sash. Her preference for a bouquet with a garden feel led her to chose lisianthus, blush tone garden roses and porcelana spray roses nested into hydrangea with soft touches of greenery. Her attendants wore pale violet-lavender dresses and carried bouquets of blush garden roses, lisianthus and lavender delphinium tucked into soft blue hydrangea. Two flowers girls stole hearts wearing halos of porcelana spray roses and waxflower while dropping fresh rose petals from ivory satin baskets. Mothers selected small nosegays of Sahara roses and white dendrobium orchid florets to carry while grandmothers opted for more traditional shoulder corsages of white orchids. Boutonnieres for the men were white dendrobium orchids with greenery.

Cocktails were served on the mid level of the courtyard by Ringling’s own Treviso.  As usual, they handled all aspects of the catering from cocktails to dinner with precision. Slice of Heaven was the bakery of choice and created an amazing cake that was as delicious as it was beautiful.

head-table-at-ringling-museum While Treviso’s fare delighted the palette, guest table centerpieces were a feast for the eyes. Three separate yet coordinating arrangements graced each table. The focal piece was an elaborate arrangement of curly willow, blue-lavender hydrangea, cream O’Hara garden roses, taupe Sahara roses, porcelana spray roses, lavender waxflower and touches of trailing, feathery soft plumosia greenery in stately black urns. Candlelight glowed from the clear votive holders hanging throughout the curly willow. Two complimentary arrangements in white vases of hydrangea, Sahara roses and porcelana spray roses nestled close to the urn and votive candles on the table completed the look.

The beauty of the day will long be remembered thanks to lovely photography by Audrey Snow of Audrey Snow Photography. Thanks to the talents of many, from the florist to the caterer to the entertainment, everyone in attendance will have fond memories of this elegant wedding.

  wedding-couple For the ceremony, Fudgie’s attractive lattice arch was decorated with pink hydrangea and roses. Guests were greeted at the back of the aisle by two lovely urns brimming with a garden assortment of pink and white roses, hydrangea, stock, queen Ann’s lace and more!

silver-manzanita-branch-centerpieces-in-pink The table centerpieces were designed of silver Manzanita branches with chandeliered votive holders, candles and crystal prisms trailing from the branches sitting on top of a beautiful display of Anna blush pink roses and hydrangea with queen Ann’s lace.

This local couple chose one of the finest locations in Sarasota for their special event. The view of Sarasota Bay and its soft breeze created the perfect setting for the perfect evening.

Mother and Bride The bride chose all white and cream tones for her wedding flowers with the only bit of color being fuchsia orchids to give a pop of color at the ceremony site.

The photos were taken by Tibor Imley of Imely Photography and, as usual, he did a fantastic job capturing the ambiance of the day’s events.  The bride chose a simple, hand-tied cluster of roses for herself, bridesmaid, junior bridesmaid and even the moms. 

 

Wedding arch The lattice arch was trimmed with sheer ivory organza, white lilies and Bombay orchids. Two beautiful urns greeted the guests at the back of the aisle and two additional urns stood on two-foot columns, flanking the sides of the arch.  The Bombay orchids also brought a touch of color to the chairs at the aisle end of each row.

 

grill-at-ritz-members-beach-club-with-candlelight-and-flowers For the reception, the bride chose a set of three pedestal candle holders with floating candles.  Each had a bit of brushed gold, surrounded by white hydrangea, roses and orchids with touches of gold lemon leaves.  The floral pieces looked lovely on the linens selected by the Ritz with almost an iridescent look to them.

Humidity and temperature could not have been better for this affair in pink.

At the base of the stairs the bride walked through a rose covered arch.  The aisle was flanked with Sweet Unique pink rose petals and at the back of the aisle the guests were met with two large arrangements of hydrangea and pink rose with trailing green amaranths.

 The bride carried a bouquet of soft pink hydrangea topped with light pink ranunculus and on the handle a small photo of the bride’s grandmother who was there in spirit right in the palm of her hand. Audrey Snow Photography got a perfect photo of the bouquet along with many other excellent photos that the couple will cherish.

 Dinner tables had a composite look using 3 glass cubes topped with hot pink, blue and soft pink hydrangea with a little seeded eucalyptus to trial over the sides and then floating candles that were also in glass cubes.  Another beautiful party under a  starry night on Sarasota Bay.
