Elegant evening in the Ritz-Carlton Healing Garden

This couple planned an elegant wedding using shades of cream and ivory. The ceremony took place at the First Presbyterian Church on Oak Street. The church candelabrum were beautifully decorated with hydrangea and roses. Single hydrangea tied with ivory satin ribbon adorned the ends of the pews. The bride carried a lovely hand tied bouquet of soft pink roses and Marco Polo dendrobium orchids. Eleven attendants dressed in grey-green gowns carried blush porcelana rose and white dendrobium orchids nested in ivory hydrangea. After the ceremony, guests arrived at the Ritz-Carlton Healing Garden for an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. Sparkling crystal candelabrum with mounds of ivory hydrangea greeted guests at the entrance to the garden. Guest tables were a mix of centerpiece styles. Some were decorated with mounded, overstuffed arrangements of hydrangea and roses while others had silver and crystal candelabrum in several styles surrounded at the base with teardrop vases of white roses. The evening was just perfect.

Beauty and elegance were evident throughout the entire day and expertly captured by Barbara Banks Photography, and each detail was overseen by Maria Brady of Choreographed Events. Best wishes to the happy couple!

Sophisticated and Sun-Drenched Destination Wedding, Sarasota Ritz Carlton Style

The lawn at the Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club was the setting for this tropical themed ceremony. The bride and groom chose bright, vibrant colors to enhance the sophisticated, sun-drenched beach feel of this location. The bride selected a lovely cascade style bouquet of ivory Asiatic lilies, white mini calla lilies and white dendrobium orchids. Her attendants wore knee length J Crew dresses in soft coral which were perfectly complimented by bouquets of tangerine Asiatic lilies, coral Marlyse roses and hot pink and yellow gerbera daisies designed by the Debbie Bock, manager and head of design production at Flowers by Fudgie.. After exchanging vows under a bamboo canopy flanked by lush baskets of tropical foliage, birds of paradise, tangerine Asiatic lilies and hot pink dendrobium orchids, the couple accompanied their guests to the Sunset Terrace for cocktails. Dinner was served in the Grill Room where tables were decorated with arrangements of hot pink, yellow and orange colored flowers in glass cubes – just the “pop” of color needed to continue the tropical theme inside. Glass cylinder vases with a touch of seashells and orange orchids florets topped with floating candles completed the look.

Ritz Carlton Sarasota-Healing Garden wedding

This beautiful wedding at the Sarasota Ritz Carlton was photographed by Horatio Franco of Studio Four Photography. He did a fabulous job of capturing the day for this lovely couple. The entrance of the bride was down the stairway and under a natural garden arch. She carried a bouquet of Cool Water lavender roses which have a wonderful scent and included a collar of wide deep purple ribbon loops. The bridesmaids carried lime green bouquets to give a “pop” of color against their deep eggplant color gowns. The bouquets included green cymbidium and dendrobium orchids with a collar of aspidistra leaves that had been folded into loops to give the bouquet a more tropical aspect.

Cocktails were also outside in the Healing Garden area with the reception in the grand ballroom. The Ritz’s talented pastry chef used fresh flowers provided by Flowers by Fudgie, in the colors of the wedding using eggplant asters and mini mums!!

A wishing tree was place in the pre function area for guest. A wedding wish tree or wishing tree is a brilliant idea to replace the traditional guest book in a fun way. The basic concept is to decorate a tree in your wedding colors’ and style and then provide wish tree cards for your guests. Your guests then write anything they like on the cards from best wishes, dreams, or helpful advice for the newlyweds and then tie them on the branches of the tree. After, these mementos make a fantastic addition to any wedding album or scrapbook. In this couples case, Flowers by Fudgie use Manzanita branches with fresh green hydrangeas at the base which added to the decor in the cocktail area.

The sweetheart table of 2 was completed by using the bridal bouquet and two of the hand tied bridesmaids bouquet on the ends of the table. By doing so, the couple got a little double duty out by using the bouquets as centerpieces now at the reception.

Spectacular Destination Wedding-Ceremony 1st Presbyterian Church Sarasota & Ringling Courtyard

The First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota was the ceremony site of this wonderful destination wedding planned by the talented Nicole Kaney of NK Productions. Nicole oversaw every detail in executing a beautiful wedding for this lucky couple. As guests approached the church’s two, large front doors, they saw the opening outlined with an opulent garland! Constructed of open lilies and roses and fruit, including oranges, lemons and limes, the entrance piece lent a touch of Florida feel, but with distinct elegance.

Inside the sanctuary, the aisle was lined with candelabra adorned with garlands of Italian ruscus and hand-opened Vendella roses. As the couple stood to take their vows, they were flanked by two large urns bearing lovely arrangements of Sahara roses and white oriental lilies with trailing amaranths spilling over. After the gorgeous Sarasota sunset, it was a bit cool, but that did not hinder the fun-filled evening that was planned! Guests were treated to cocktails at the Ringling family home, the Ca D’ Zan. There, a huge table of seafood with fabulous ice sculptures was adorned with garlands of fresh fruit and interesting foliage. Photographer Katie Beyer captured stunning images of the candlelit evening in the Ringling Courtyard, where dinner and dancing went on until nearly midnight! The designers at Flowers by Fudgie created two different centerpiece designs for the guest tables. Half of the tables had over-stuffed gold revere bowls laden with roses in warm tones, lime green orchids, celosia, and hydrangea. The remaining tables had the rich centerpieces set atop citrus fruit-filled, clear glass vases with trailing amaranths. Floating candles in glass cylinders with submerged orchids surrounded each bouquet and added to the glow of the evening. Kudos to Nicole and her staff, the talented photographers with Katie Beyer Photography and all the folks with Fete Catering who served a fabulous meal for this spectacular Sarasota wedding!

Ritz Carlton Members Beach Club Sarasota Wedding-Elegant Canopy Designed with Orchids and Crystal Prisms

Our destination wedding couple chose the lawn at the Members Beach Club, Ritz Carlton Sarasota for their ceremony. It was a glorious day and the sun danced on the crystal prisms and orchids that trailed on monofilament runners off the back of the canopy. The canopy, covered in sheer organza fabric, blew softly in the breeze with its upper corners trimmed in lilies and white dendrobium orchids. The aisle was flanked with ivory rose petals and every other chair was trimmed with a cluster of ivory Asiatic lilies and orchids. It was a picture perfect setting on a picture perfect day! A silver Manzanita branch, also trimmed with prisms and orchid florets and decorated with garden roses and dendrobium orchids, added a touch of elegance to the place card table. The guest tables held tall cylinder vases of white cymbidium orchids and were surrounded with three smaller arrangements of hydrangea and parrot tulips. As evening arrived, candlelight was added to the design by using three smaller cylinders with floating candles and submerged orchids. These flowers and candles looked beautiful on the iridescent graphite colored table linens. It is always wonderful to work with the professional team at the Ritz.

Ritz Carlton Sarasota-Healing Garden Wedding and Ballroom Reception

Nicole Kaney, of NK Production was the coordinator for this lovely wedding at the Ritz Carlton, Sarasota. The Healing Garden was the ceremony site at the base of the elegant stairs where palm trees soften the background and sheppard hooks with mini callas, roses and hydrangea lined the aisle.

The warm orange and gold tones looked fabulous in the ballroom at the Ritz, as it ties in with the room’s colors. Natural curly willow branches reached 6’ tall from cylinders vases with a color of Circus, Queen Amazon and Orange Unique rose. Small gold Mokara orchids were tied in to the willow branches to pull color on to them. The tall arrangements help to fill the love room and make a statement upon entering.

The bridal couple was seated at a long feasting table with their bridal party, which was designed with a continual composite style arrangement of flowers, branches, moss, grapes and candles at varying heights.

Another happy couple….and another beautiful Ritz wedding.

Ritz Carlton Sarasota-Elegant Wedding

The Ritz Carlton Sarasota was the setting for this beautiful wedding this Spring. The wedding was set on the lawn over looking the bay with a fabric and bamboo canopy as the site for the ceremony. The aisle was flanked with single white roses tied with sheer Tiffany blue ribbon, as well as the canopy floral pieces, all in white roses and orchids, with the same sheer ribbons blowing softly in the breeze.

Crystals and Candlelight

You just cannot go wrong with candlelight for a wedding….it is so romantic to see a candle lit aisle, as was done for this wonderful couple at Saint Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church, Sarasota. Every other pew end was adorned with white roses tucked into ivy cascading down the single candelabrum.

Maria Brady of Choreographed Events is always great to work with. She brought in special linen for the cake and head table that were just exquisite. Planning this up scaled wedding was a huge undertaking but done with easy by Maria. You will see by looking at our photo gallery that Tibor of Imley Photography, did an outstanding job capturing the event.

I do not think I have seen the Ritz Carlton Ballroom as grand with the soft lighting effect and fabric draping done by Affairs in the Air, coupled with the striking arrangements that the Fudgie designers did on site. Two styles of arrangements were used. Both in tall vases but one with long white orchids with chandeliered hanging votives and the other of tall curly willow branches with white dendrobium orchids attached and crystals garlands raining from the branches and many hanging votive candles. The branches stood 5 to 6’ tall of the tables which filled the room with it tall ceiling.

The long head table with its fabulous linen was flanked with two 36” all crystal 5 branch candelabrum topped with white orchids and then lined with dozens of candles between. The place card table in the pre function area at the Ritz had a vase of tall curly willow branches with crystals and tiny orchids on monofilament. The monofilament rained from its branches. This impressive piece was in the center of all the place cards that spiraled out from it base.

The sparkle of the crystals in the candlelight made for an absolutely awesome look.

Shades of Pink for a Garden Wedding at the Ritz

It was a beautiful day for a wedding and reception in the Healing Garden at Sarasota’s Ritz Carlton. Humidity and temperature could not have been better for this affair in pink.

At the base of the stairs the bride walked through a rose covered arch. The aisle was flanked with Sweet Unique pink rose petals and at the back of the aisle the guests were met with two large arrangements of hydrangea and pink rose with trailing green amaranths.

The bride carried a bouquet of soft pink hydrangea topped with light pink ranunculus and on the handle a small photo of the bride’s grandmother who was there in spirit right in the palm of her hand. Audrey Snow Photography got a perfect photo of the bouquet along with many other excellent photos that the couple will cherish.

Dinner tables had a composite look using 3 glass cubes topped with hot pink, blue and soft pink hydrangea with a little seeded eucalyptus to trial over the sides and then floating candles that were also in glass cubes. Another beautiful party under a starry night on Sarasota Bay.

Garden Wedding Ritz Carlton Sarasota

The Ritz Carlton – Sarasota is a beautiful setting for a wedding and their outdoor setting was perfect on this sunny Saturday. The bride had envisioned an aisle lined with flowers, so Fudgie’s designed flower arrangements to frame the couple as well as to line the aisle. The arrangements were made with mixed pastel shades of pink and yellow with trailing green amaranthus and ribbons set on top of 36 inch-tall bronze stanchions.

The buffet reception in the ballroom had guest tables in varying sizes. The larger tables had a set of three arrangements for a composite look while the smaller tables had single glass cubes. They all had smaller flower arrangements to pull the mixed pastel colors inside. Tall 26-inch glass cubes supported the large buffet centerpieces that added color to the scrumptious feast presented on serpentine tables.
