Elegant evening in the Ritz-Carlton Healing Garden

This couple planned an elegant wedding using shades of cream and ivory. The ceremony took place at the First Presbyterian Church on Oak Street. The church candelabrum were beautifully decorated with hydrangea and roses. Single hydrangea tied with ivory satin ribbon adorned the ends of the pews. The bride carried a lovely hand tied bouquet of soft pink roses and Marco Polo dendrobium orchids. Eleven attendants dressed in grey-green gowns carried blush porcelana rose and white dendrobium orchids nested in ivory hydrangea. After the ceremony, guests arrived at the Ritz-Carlton Healing Garden for an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. Sparkling crystal candelabrum with mounds of ivory hydrangea greeted guests at the entrance to the garden. Guest tables were a mix of centerpiece styles. Some were decorated with mounded, overstuffed arrangements of hydrangea and roses while others had silver and crystal candelabrum in several styles surrounded at the base with teardrop vases of white roses. The evening was just perfect.

Beauty and elegance were evident throughout the entire day and expertly captured by Barbara Banks Photography, and each detail was overseen by Maria Brady of Choreographed Events. Best wishes to the happy couple!

St Barbara’s and the Polo Grill Wedding

The sanctuary at St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church is bright and impressive. The religious icons are in rich, vibrant hues creating a beautiful sanctuary. Adding decorations could be daunting but the aisle decor chosen blended seamlessly. Large sheer ivory bows with a touch of greenery alternated with clusters of Circus roses and greenery with ivory ribbon streamers down the length of the aisle. Just the right touch. Maria Brady of Choreographed Events over saw the day of events for the couple, seeing to all the final details and getting our beautiful bride down the aisle.

The bride was traditional and romantic in her ivory lace dress complimented perfectly with a bouquet of ivory roses and fragrant, pearl studded stephanotis. Attendants in yellow chiffon carried hand tied bouquets of Circus roses, a lovely deep yellow rose with a reddish-orange edge. The groom wore a boutonniere of 3 stephanotis blooms as he awaited his bride at the altar. Al Gordon Photography captured every moment in beautiful detail.

Guests traveled to the Polo Grill in Lakewood Ranch for a fabulous dinner. Brushed gold candle holders with floating candles washed the room in warm candlelight. Wreath rings of green hydrangea and circus roses decorated some of the tables while others had 3 tear drop vases of hydrangea and roses clustered at the base of the candle holders. Pastry by Design created a scrumptious cake and the couple’s flair for a bit of whimsy was evident in the Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake topper. Crystals and Candlelight

You just cannot go wrong with candlelight for a wedding….it is so romantic to see a candle lit aisle, as was done for this wonderful couple at Saint Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church, Sarasota. Every other pew end was adorned with white roses tucked into ivy cascading down the single candelabrum.

Maria Brady of Choreographed Events is always great to work with. She brought in special linen for the cake and head table that were just exquisite. Planning this up scaled wedding was a huge undertaking but done with easy by Maria. You will see by looking at our photo gallery that Tibor of Imley Photography, did an outstanding job capturing the event.

I do not think I have seen the Ritz Carlton Ballroom as grand with the soft lighting effect and fabric draping done by Affairs in the Air, coupled with the striking arrangements that the Fudgie designers did on site. Two styles of arrangements were used. Both in tall vases but one with long white orchids with chandeliered hanging votives and the other of tall curly willow branches with white dendrobium orchids attached and crystals garlands raining from the branches and many hanging votive candles. The branches stood 5 to 6’ tall of the tables which filled the room with it tall ceiling.

The long head table with its fabulous linen was flanked with two 36” all crystal 5 branch candelabrum topped with white orchids and then lined with dozens of candles between. The place card table in the pre function area at the Ritz had a vase of tall curly willow branches with crystals and tiny orchids on monofilament. The monofilament rained from its branches. This impressive piece was in the center of all the place cards that spiraled out from it base.

The sparkle of the crystals in the candlelight made for an absolutely awesome look.
