The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of white gerbera daisies and ivory roses tucked into soft blue hydrangea. Her attendants carried orange gerbera daisies with deep orange spray roses and green hypericum berries.

The ivy bowls from the aisle served double duty as they were moved to the reception and placed on mirrors in the center of the guest tables and surrounded by votive candles. Each chair had the added touch of an orange or white gerbera daisy tucked into the tie.

A short drive and guests arrived at the beautiful new Sarasota Yacht Club. Table centerpieces were lavish overstuffed glass cubes with white hydrangea, green mini hydrangea and white roses surrounded by lots of votive candles on navy linens. Pastry by Design created a delectable cake adorned with fresh white ranunculus – too beautiful to cut, but too delicious not to! Everyone agreed it was a wonderful evening of dining and dancing.

Sarasota has so many varied locations and venues there’s sure to be something to please every bride’s wedding vision. We hope they choose Flowers by Fudgie as their Sarasota Florist regardless of location.

The ceremony was originally set to take place on the front steps of the Ca’ d’Zan Mansion. Mother Nature had other ideas and when dark clouds threatened, the decision was made to move both the ceremony and the reception under cover. The Campanello, the new patio adjacent to the Terrace was the perfect spot. US Tent provided the tent and beautifully lit the inside in a wash of soft pink. Royal purple orchids, hot pink roses, white hydrangea and lime green Fujis mums were just a few of the flowers used in this wedding. The beaming bride carried a hand tied bouquet of white hydrangea, pale lavender Misteen orchids and white mini calla lilies. Bridesmaids bouquets consisted of hydrangea, hot pink Ravel roses and deep purple orchid florets. The men’s rose boutonnieres were done in silver filigree holders that added just that special touch.

Just as the ceremony began, the sun broke through the clouds. Limelight Photography made the most of Ca’ d’Zan’s beauty and this couple’s joy and captured the day with expertise.

The rich color scheme was pulled throughout the reception…from the lavish linens to the sparkling table settings. Tables gleamed with glass cylinders filled with orchids as well as silver manzanita branches dripping with crystals and hanging votives. Very romantic!

Outside events can always be affected by the weather and alternate plans are a MUST! This bride and groom certainly made the right decision by hiring local wedding professionals, knowledgable and capable of working quickly and effectively together when the weather made a change of plans necessary. What could have been disorganized chaos was instead quickly review and pulled together with style. Hats off to US Tent Rental, Nellie’s Catering, the staff of Ca’ d’Zan, Limelight Photography and the Flowers by Fudgie design team for a job well done!

Have you ever dreamed of a beach wedding? Many couples do! Well this couple not only dreamed it, but lived it!  And Flowers by Fudgie was there to help make this beautiful couple’s beach destination wedding a reality!  The wedding took place at the gorgeous Lido Beach Resort in sunny Sarasota, FL.

Anna Pohl of Day Planners, and Kimberly Dyer of Kimberly Dyer Photography were also part of the dream team as they helped bring this vision to pass! Brides adore Anna as she aptly pulls all the details together to allow the bride to really enjoy her day. And Kimberly’s stunning photography speaks for itself! And the wedding flowers by Flowers by Fudgie were like no other, if we say so ourselves!

Our beautiful bride loved pink lilies with their pleasing fragrance so we chose the deeper pink Starfighter variety to make up her stunning bridal bouquet. We also added orchids and stephanotis to the bouquet with the added touch of a crystal in the center of each flower!  The bouquet was breathtaking!

For the ceremony, we used a bamboo canopy and the aisle was lined with shepherd hooks filled with lilies and scattered hot pink roses to make it come alive with color and flair! The bride was an absolute vision as she carried her bouquet and walked to her husband- to- be on the beach!

And the reception was amazing as well!  It was held under a tent on the resort’s beach property. Fun and unique lighting brought the party to life and highlighted the dazzling table centerpieces of tall silver Manzanita branches and trailing purple orchids and hanging shining votives.  The base of the centerpiece was accented with pink lilies and orchids to give a pop and splash of color to each table.

And the three food tables were resplendent with tall cylinders with submerged cymbidium orchids on top of a light tray to add a nice soft glow to each table.

Our bride was absolutely thrilled with everything and saw her dream beach wedding come to life before her very eyes! And Flowers by Fudgie was equally thrilled to be part of this spectacular day!

This sweet Irish couple planned a week day wedding at Marie Selby Gardens, with about 80 in attendance.  The gardens at Selby are such as a wonderful place for a wedding.  With all the fabulous planting you cannot go wrong with a wedding at this  venue. They were married at the Pavilion and did their reception in the Great Room on the grounds.  Photos were done by  Justin DeMutiis Photography.

This featured couple used Limelight Photography for their all white wedding.  The bride chose a clean look using all white roses for her bridal bouquet that was hand tied with an initial on the handle  and the bridesmaids carried a garden mix of all white and cream tone flowers.  The front arch on the logia was draped with fabric by Affairs in the Air and green plants from Made in the Shade added a little softness to either side of the fountain as the background for the ceremony. 

Tall vases of curly willow branches with white dendrobium orchids sprays graced the tables.  This was a natural look that gave some elevation on the guest tables.  Also on the place card table a vase of manzanita branches with sprays of crystals tied in nicely with the guest table arrangements.

A bamboo arch with tropical flowers and 2 lovely matching arrangements flanked the back of the aisle.  These florals where transferred to the reception following the ceremony.
