The Ringling Courtyard is large enough to accommodate the largest of wedding with space for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing in one dramatic location, making for easy transition throughout the wedding. Anna Pohl of Day Planners was hired as coordinator and her knowledge and expertise kept everything progressing smoothly right up to the very last dance. ringling-bride-with-bridal-bouquet iron-arch-with-blue-hydrangea Flowers by Fudgie serviced this wedding with a team of designers on site led by owner Becki Creighton. The ceremony was set on the top level with our iron arch covered with greenery, curly willow and over 40 stems of soft lavender blue hydrangea. A single rose tied with sheer ribbon decorated every other chair on the aisle. Lights were strung over the seating area and glass chandeliers sparkled as they hung from the trees. Lighting elements were handled by our friends at Affairs in the Air. The scene was set and awaited a beautiful bride and handsome groom. bridal-bouquet-of-porceilana-rose-hydrangea-freesia-and-lizanthus sparking-head-table-at-ringling-museum The bride was stunning in an ecru gown with a taupe sash. Her preference for a bouquet with a garden feel led her to chose lisianthus, blush tone garden roses and porcelana spray roses nested into hydrangea with soft touches of greenery. Her attendants wore pale violet-lavender dresses and carried bouquets of blush garden roses, lisianthus and lavender delphinium tucked into soft blue hydrangea. Two flowers girls stole hearts wearing halos of porcelana spray roses and waxflower while dropping fresh rose petals from ivory satin baskets. Mothers selected small nosegays of Sahara roses and white dendrobium orchid florets to carry while grandmothers opted for more traditional shoulder corsages of white orchids. Boutonnieres for the men were white dendrobium orchids with greenery.

Cocktails were served on the mid level of the courtyard by Ringling’s own Treviso.  As usual, they handled all aspects of the catering from cocktails to dinner with precision. Slice of Heaven was the bakery of choice and created an amazing cake that was as delicious as it was beautiful.

head-table-at-ringling-museum While Treviso’s fare delighted the palette, guest table centerpieces were a feast for the eyes. Three separate yet coordinating arrangements graced each table. The focal piece was an elaborate arrangement of curly willow, blue-lavender hydrangea, cream O’Hara garden roses, taupe Sahara roses, porcelana spray roses, lavender waxflower and touches of trailing, feathery soft plumosia greenery in stately black urns. Candlelight glowed from the clear votive holders hanging throughout the curly willow. Two complimentary arrangements in white vases of hydrangea, Sahara roses and porcelana spray roses nestled close to the urn and votive candles on the table completed the look.

The beauty of the day will long be remembered thanks to lovely photography by Audrey Snow of Audrey Snow Photography. Thanks to the talents of many, from the florist to the caterer to the entertainment, everyone in attendance will have fond memories of this elegant wedding.

Beach weddingHave you ever dreamed of a beach wedding? Many couples do! Well this couple not only dreamed it, but lived it!  And Flowers by Fudgie was there to help make this beautiful couple’s beach destination wedding a reality!  The wedding took place at the gorgeous Lido Beach Resort in sunny Sarasota, FL.

Anna Pohl of Day Planners, and Kimberly Dyer of Kimberly Dyer Photography were also part of the dream team as they helped bring this vision to pass! Brides adore Anna as she aptly pulls all the details together to allow the bride to really enjoy her day. And Kimberly’s stunning photography speaks for itself! And the wedding flowers by Flowers by Fudgie were like no other, if we say so ourselves!

Our beautiful bride loved pink lilies with their pleasing fragrance so we chose the deeper pink Starfighter variety to make up her stunning bridal bouquet. We also added orchids and stephanotis to the bouquet with the added touch of a crystal in the center of each flower!  The bouquet was breathtaking! Cascade bridal-bouquet-of-pink-lilies

For the ceremony, we used a bamboo canopy and the aisle was lined with shepherd hooks filled with lilies and scattered hot pink roses to make it come alive with color and flair! The bride was an absolute vision as she carried her bouquet and walked to her husband- to- be on the beach!

And the reception was amazing as well!  It was held under a tent on the resort’s beach property. Fun and unique lighting brought the party to life and highlighted the dazzling table centerpieces of tall silver Manzanita branches and trailing purple orchids and hanging shining votives.  The base of the centerpiece was accented with pink lilies and orchids to give a pop and splash of color to each table. manzanita-wedding-centerpieces

Wedding centerpiece of submerged-white-orchid And the three food tables were resplendent with tall cylinders with submerged cymbidium orchids on top of a light tray to add a nice soft glow to each table.

Our bride was absolutely thrilled with everything and saw her dream beach wedding come to life before her very eyes! And Flowers by Fudgie was equally thrilled to be part of this spectacular day!

Campbell Photography for this fun outdoor wedding that we previously posted in our blog.  The wedding was at City Island in Sarasota in front of a massive banyan tree.  The creative designers at Flowers by Fudgie fashioned a trailing arrangement in the crevices of the tree for the backdrop and the aisle was lined with pails of orange lilies and hot pink roses.

bride-and-groom The bride chose to carry a bold bouquet of Ravel roses and Brunello (orange) Asiatic lilies with a collar of hot pink feathers.  The bouquet fit her personality and the fun and festive look of the wedding.

candle-light-wedding-reception Anna Pohl from Day Planners oversaw all the details for this fun wedding and the reception in the candlelit ballroom at Michael’s on East.  Manzanita branches with hanging votive candles rose above the centerpieces in glass cubes of hot pink roses and orange Asiatic lilies. Hot pink Ravel roses and orange lilies coupled with greenery in a classic cascade were carefully arranged as to hang on the Banyan tree without damaging it in any way. The bright orange and pink colors pop against the backdrop of the Banyan.  Island park in Sarasota is a lovely location and added such beauty to this couple’s special day. The tree theme carried through to their stunning wedding reception at the always elegant Michael’s On East.  The ballroom came alive with wedding reception tables draped in rich brown linens featuring one of a kind centerpieces. Silver manzanita centerpieces with votives Glass containers overflowing with hot pink roses and orange lilies held gorgeous silver manzanita branches dripping with glowing hanging votives.  The top of the silver manzanita branches were punctuated by hot pink Bougainvillea blossoms.  This dazzling centerpiece represented this beautiful couple’s creative spirit well.  It is always a joy and a delight to help make a couple’s dream wedding a reality! Each of the vases was filled with blush pink Anna roses and white hydrangea and mini champagne spray roses.

The ceremony was on the logia steps under the natural arch and the back of the aisle was flanked with 2 beautiful arrangements of Anna roses. The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of Anna roses with the pave crystals nested between them.  The soft tones of the roses with the candlelight made of a very romantic look.

They were joined together in marriage on the Terrace of the Ca Da’ Zan. The couple stood in front of the amazing colorful stained glass windows of the museum where an iron arch, covered in roses, orchids and dripping with green amaranthus framed the couple. This placement of chairs kept the sunlight at the guests’ backs and the glare from the water out of their eyes.  Two black tripods were used to flank the back of the aisle that was lined with rose petals. Green dendrobium orchids were attached to every other chair end down the aisle.

Nicole Kaney, of NK Productions, was the wedding coordinator who effortlessly executed the event, with Mattison’s catering, led by Anna Pohl. Tibor Imely was the photographer who captured all their wedding memories.

 

The nearly 100 guests were then transferred by trolley to the Ringling Museum Courtyard for the reception. The dinner tables had vibrant coral Marlsye roses cascading down the stem of the 36” tall  bronze candelabrum with 5 votive candles on top of each one. This beautiful display worked well with the coral linens that had been chosen.  The whimsical cake from Beautiful  Cakes by Ron, was beautifully framed by the arch that was transferred over from the ceremony site.
