wedding-ceremony-on-new-terrace-cadzan This lovely wedding was photographed by Limelight Photography, who captures the essence of the day and the evening.  The wedding took place on the new deck just beside the black and white marble terrace of the Ca D’Zan, where the reception took place.

wedding-couple For the ceremony, Fudgie’s attractive lattice arch was decorated with pink hydrangea and roses. Guests were greeted at the back of the aisle by two lovely urns brimming with a garden assortment of pink and white roses, hydrangea, stock, queen Ann’s lace and more!

This local couple chose one of the finest locations in Sarasota for their special event. The view of Sarasota Bay and its soft breeze created the perfect setting for the perfect evening.

Mixed Garden Centerpieces Perfect For Easter or Mother’s Day

Centerpiece in purple/lavender with touches of hot pinkIt’s hard to believe it’s the middle of April already! Is this year flying by for you? Are you ready for Easter? Are you ready for Mother’s Day? We are!  Flowers by Fudgie loves helping you spoil those special people in your life on these special occasions. And of course, we believe flowers are great way to do it! We believe sending flowers to loved ones conveys love, thoughtfulness, and care!

Did you know in Victorian times certain flowers had specific meanings because the flower selection was very limited and people used more symbols and gestures to communicate than words? But today, with so many abundant flower choices, there are no set rules – it’s the sentiment that gives the gift its meaning! You can assign your own personal meanings – maybe a specific flower or certain color that might remind them of a special event or moment in their lives.Colorful mixed garden centerpiece

A mixed garden centerpiece or bouquet is a wonderful way to send a warm message of love in colorful, vibrant way.  Mix garden centerpieces combine a variety of flowers with lots of textures which make them very visually appealing and inviting.  The centerpieces can be designed in mixed pretty pastel colors or in the deep rich jewel tones depending on the décor or the recipient’s personality.

Mixed garden centerpieces are a more traditional style arrangement. The centerpieces can be arranged in smaller sizes as in the stunning julep cup or arranged in larger containers such as silver or gold revere or glass  bowls. Often the garden look contains an explosion of flower varieties including Hydrangea with a mix of Roses, Ranunculus, Asters, Freesia, Gerber Daisies, Lisianthus, Alstroemeria, and fabulous fillers such as Wax Flowers, Monte Casino or Queen Anne’s Lace!  The creative and beautiful possibilities are endless with mixed garden centerpieces!Mixed Garden Centerpieces in Julep Cup

Campbell Photography for this fun outdoor wedding that we previously posted in our blog.  The wedding was at City Island in Sarasota in front of a massive banyan tree.  The creative designers at Flowers by Fudgie fashioned a trailing arrangement in the crevices of the tree for the backdrop and the aisle was lined with pails of orange lilies and hot pink roses.

bride-and-groom The bride chose to carry a bold bouquet of Ravel roses and Brunello (orange) Asiatic lilies with a collar of hot pink feathers.  The bouquet fit her personality and the fun and festive look of the wedding.

candle-light-wedding-reception Anna Pohl from Day Planners oversaw all the details for this fun wedding and the reception in the candlelit ballroom at Michael’s on East.  Manzanita branches with hanging votive candles rose above the centerpieces in glass cubes of hot pink roses and orange Asiatic lilies. The warm glow of the room was captured beautifully in Ellie’s Photos. Take a look!

Spectacular Destination Wedding-Ceremony 1st Presbyterian Church Sarasota & Ringling Courtyard

Ringling Museum Courtyard wedding in coral and green The First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota was the ceremony site of this wonderful destination wedding planned by the talented Nicole Kaney of NK Productions. Nicole oversaw every detail in executing a beautiful wedding for this lucky couple. Ringling Courtyard candle light wedding centerpieces garland-of-flowers-and-fruit-at-first-presbyterian-w-palms As guests approached the church’s two, large front doors, they saw the opening outlined with an opulent garland! Constructed of open lilies and roses and fruit, including oranges, lemons and limes, the entrance piece lent a touch of Florida feel, but with distinct elegance.

Inside the sanctuary, the aisle was lined with candelabra adorned with garlands of Italian ruscus and hand-opened Vendella roses. As the couple stood to take their vows, they were flanked by two large urns bearing lovely arrangements of Sahara roses and white oriental lilies with trailing amaranths spilling over. Wedding ceremony flowers First Presbyterian Church Weddign Reception Ice Sculpture with fruit and flower decor After the gorgeous Sarasota sunset, it was a bit cool, but that did not hinder the fun-filled evening that was planned! Guests were treated to cocktails at the Ringling family home, the Ca D’ Zan. There, a huge table of seafood with fabulous ice sculptures was adorned with garlands of fresh fruit and interesting foliage. Photographer Katie Beyer captured stunning images of the candlelit evening in the Ringling Courtyard, where dinner and dancing went on until nearly midnight! The designers at Flowers by Fudgie created two different centerpiece designs for the guest tables. Half of the tables had over-stuffed gold revere bowls laden with roses in warm tones, lime green orchids, celosia, and hydrangea. The remaining tables had the rich centerpieces set atop citrus fruit-filled, clear glass vases with trailing amaranths.  Floating candles in glass cylinders with submerged orchids surrounded each bouquet and added to the glow of the evening.  Kudos to Nicole and her staff, the talented photographers with Katie Beyer Photography and all the folks with Fete Catering who served a fabulous meal for this spectacular Sarasota wedding!

The canopy, covered in sheer organza fabric, blew softly in the breeze with its upper corners trimmed in lilies and white dendrobium orchids. The aisle was flanked with ivory rose petals and every other chair was trimmed with a cluster of ivory Asiatic lilies and orchids. It was a picture perfect setting on a picture perfect day!
