Marie Selby Gardens of Sarasota has several beautiful garden settings for a wedding reception and this couple from New York chose to have theirs under the tremendous Banyan Trees. They were married at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Sarasota prior to arriving at Selby.
We worked together with Maria Brady their planner, Michael’s On East and Barbara Banks that provided us with photos we have displayed.
When the guest arrived their tables were set with vibrant orange and fuchsia linens. Two styles of arrangements were designed for the tables. One style was an elevated arrangement in glass pilsner vases with curly willow branches and pink Makara orchid sprays to look like orchid trees and on the other tables had glass bowls of hot pink hydrangea, Makara orchids and bright orange roses. This bold pop of color was a very eye catching within the lush garden setting. For the place card table we use flats of wheat grass; where the cards where nested in alphabetical order. The couple wanted a fun and casual look and the bold colors helped to set that tone.
