Bobbi Hicks, of Weddings by Bobbi, helped to plan this lovely wedding at Selby Garden’s Pavilion. The flowers were done in white and cream tones which looked lovely in the garden with the lush greenery surrounding them. The Pavilion was draped with sheer fabric to frame it like an arch. The fabric was supplied by the masters at Affairs in the Air. The couple walked down a carpeted aisle lined with Sheppard hooks designed with hydrangea and roses. The guests were greeted at the back of the aisle with two lovely arrangements and two larger columns of mixed garden flowers flanked the couple during the ceremony.
The bride chose a bridal bouquet of mixed garden flowers to include hydrangea, roses, freesia, ranunculus and lisianthus. The mixed textured flowers looked lovely against her gown.
Dinner at the Great Room at Selby was served by Simply Gourmet and each table held a composite of 3 arrangements in varying sizes.
Evelyn England of Sage Photography captured the day’s events beautifully and we thank her for the photos she supplied.

The ballroom at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota, is a beautiful room with it tall ceiling and lovely chandeliers. The room calls for elevated floral arrangements if you really want to make a statement for any event or wedding reception. For this reception of 220 guests, the couple chose tall cylinder vases with fresh lime green cymbidium orchids submerged and then a lovely arrangement of pink lilies and peonies, green fugi mums and Kermit button poms and calla lilies with trailing green amaranths. The cylinder was placed on a light tray which provided a soft up lighting into the submerged orchid vase. Also surrounding the vase were 3 small cylinders with floating candles and orchids. For that little something extra, a single green fugi mum was tied into the gold sheer chair tie at the back of each gold chiavari chair.
The sweetheart table had one continual arrangement along the table’s edge with several different sized votives and floating candles worked between. Small 2” glass cubes were nested under the green moss and between the hardy flowers. The small cubes filled with water held the fragile flowers such as the hydrangea in this is “layout” design for the couples table of honor.

The Powell Crosley Museum was the perfect setting for this vintage themed wedding. To help carry out the theme, the bride collected milk glass vases of all sizes and shapes for the dinner table centerpieces. Each of the vases was filled with blush pink Anna roses and white hydrangea and mini champagne spray roses.
The photographer was Gina Leigh and the planner for the day was Anna Pohl of Day Planners. Thanks to Gina for providing the photos for this blog post.
The ceremony was on the logia steps under the natural arch and the back of the aisle was flanked with 2 beautiful arrangements of Anna roses. The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of Anna roses with the pave crystals nested between them. The soft tones of the roses with the candlelight made of a very romantic look.

This destination wedding couple planned their perfect day at the Ritz member Beach Club in Sarasota. Rebecca from Limelight Photography captured their day in the photos you will see in this blog entry.
Rev Georgeanne Butler preformed the ceremony, which included a “sand ceremony” element. Two large bamboo vases of areca palms and river cane with Bombay orchids flanked the couple and the aisle was decorated with sheppard hooks with glass cones of hydrangea and pink spray roses that were then reused on some of the table settings at the reception.
The bride carried a bouquet of soft pink hydrangea with pink ranunculus and the brides with hot pink ranunculus. White dendrobium orchids where used in the brides hair as well on the jacket of the groom.
The Sunset Terrace at the Ritz Member Beach Club over looking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico was the reception site and where the couple and their family and friends celebrated their marriage.

Guests were greeted with hydrangea wreaths beneath the lanterns at the entrance to the Lighthouse Methodist Church in Boca Grande and bouquets of ivory roses, hydrangea and hanging green amaranths flanked the front altar of the sweet church.
The reception at the Gasparilla Inn’s Beach venue started with cocktails pool side, and dinner in the dining room which was filled with candle light. All the flowers were kept in white and cream tones and included roses, hydrangea and orchids. The head table was a long feasting table with a runner of mirror and several mercury vases topped with hydrangeas, and tall vases of phalanopsis orchid sprays and candles. The fireplace which was in the center of the room also had a candlescape as well which added to the soft romantic look the bride was after.
The only color used was for the cocktail hour and the garland entrance to the dining room. Hot pink peonies and spray roses gave a little pop of color on the hi top tables around the pool.

The Crosley Museum is one of the most beautiful spots in the Sarasota, Bradenton area. Bobbi Hicks of Weddings by Bobbi helped to plan a dream wedding for this bridal couple. They choose to keep it an elegant, yet simple look of spring flowers all in white and cream tones.
The bride carried a bouquet of all freesia and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of all white tulips. The back of the logia was the setting for the ceremony and the reception was catered by Michaels on East. The tables were elegantly set with either low bowls of tulips with lily grass or tall pilsner vases of all white stock. Brett from Made in the Shade provided the plant rental which always brings warmth and hominess to the Museum.

This sweet Irish couple planned a week day wedding at Marie Selby Gardens, with about 80 in attendance. The gardens at Selby are such as a wonderful place for a wedding. With all the fabulous planting you cannot go wrong with a wedding at this venue. They were married at the Pavilion and did their reception in the Great Room on the grounds. Photos were done by Justin DeMutiis Photography.

The Ritz Carlton Sarasota was the setting for this beautiful wedding this Spring. The wedding was set on the lawn over looking the bay with a fabric and bamboo canopy as the site for the ceremony. The aisle was flanked with single white roses tied with sheer Tiffany blue ribbon, as well as the canopy floral pieces, all in white roses and orchids, with the same sheer ribbons blowing softly in the breeze.

Ringling Museum is a beautiful location for a Spring wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect for this Sarasota couple whose wedding was planned with the help of Nicole Kaney of NK Productions. She choose simple a hand tied bouquet of blue hydrangea with small white spray roses for a delicate look and her maid of honor carried just blue hydrangea.
For the ceremony a simple bamboo canopy with sheer organza made a lovely backdrop and the aisle was lined with single white hydrangea with lemon leaf.
Fete Catering was in charge of the food and did lovely cocktail hour stations with a served dinner following. Lyndsay of Pastry by Design handled the cake with a shell theme that was topped with fresh blue hydrangea and edible small white shells. Pretty soft blue linens were topped with tall cylinders of white cymbidium that were submerged with a light tray under each which gave a soft glow into the evening. Each tall cylinder was surrounded with bold colors using hot pink roses, deep blue-purple hydrangea, orange spray roses and fuchsia Mokara orchids. The floral arrangements gave a nice pop of color on the soft pastel linens. Star fish and other shells were used on the place card table with all the table numbers were done with a shell theme.
This great team of vendors also included Katie Beyer Photography who provided all of the wonderful photos in the attached gallery. Katie’s has a great way of capturing the moment, check out her website at www.katiebeyerphotography.com for additional pictures of this and other weddings.
